The Oak Ridge Animal Shelter is so lucky in that Warrior Angels for Tennessee Animals (WATA) has offered to lend support in getting some of the kitties out and on northbound transports to rescue. Rescues won’t take the kitties if they haven’t been disease tested, vaccinated, and dewormed. WATA’s founder contacted us to see if we could sponsor a few kitties, like Gypsy and Penny, so they might find their forever homes. We were happy to send $160 for the needed vet services.
Warrior Angels for Tennessee Animals recently pulled six kitties from the Campbell County Animal Center. They reached out to us to see if we could cover the needed vetting that will make these sweet babies much more adoptable. HPAN called the low-cost spay/neuter clinic the cats will be taken to and made payment that would cover their sterilization, vaccines, and leukemia testing. Soon they will be ready for forever homes!
Warrior Angels for Tennessee Animals approached HPAN to assist with spay/neuter costs for six cats being pulled from the animal shelter in Campbell County. We made exact payment ($207) to People Promoting Animal Welfare (PPAW), a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, to alter all six cats and vaccinate them against rabies. The Warrior Angels are doing a tremendous job saving animals! In the last two months alone, they have pulled nearly fifty cats, had them altered, and sent them to northern rescues. We are honored to have a small part in saving these little lives.
