HPAN Sponsors Transport Run to Save 21 Dogs/Puppies
The Animal Wellness Foundation in conjunction with the Roane County Animal Shelter worked together to arrange a multi-dog rescue. Twenty-one dogs and puppies were pulled from shelters and accepted into northern rescues. We were asked to sponsor the transport expenses. That’s actually more than 21 lives saved because one of the dogs was very pregnant. All made it safely and are on their way to better lives.
HPAN Pays $115.50 for Sassy’s Care
Sassy was abandoned by her owners in a mobile home in Blount County with nothing more than a small bag of dog food dumped on the floor. The Animal Wellness Foundation received permission from the owners to remove her from the mobile home. The rescuer immediately bathed, vaccinated, and dewormed Sassy. She was then taken to the vet for an exam, nail trim, heartworm test, additional vaccines, and skin scrapes. Sassy is a sweet girl who does not deserve the hand she has been dealt by her previous owners, and we are thankful to play a role in her recovery and road to happiness.
HPAN Pays $275 for Sally’s Heartworm Treatments
The Animal Wellness Foundation in Maryville, TN pulled shelter dog, Sally, who was diagnosed with heartworms. She would have died if left at the shelter. Sick ones are always the first to go. We were so glad to sponsor her!
