Sophie and Precious Saved with $1000

These beautiful dogs were saved by Almost Home Animal Rescue. Sophie was stuck in a shelter and had two days to live when she was saved. Precious was an owner surrender, who came into rescue with no training whatsoever. We had the opportunity to pay a portion of the emergency boarding for these girls, as well as spay surgery for precious, and vaccines and deworming for both.

HPAN Sponsors 4 SDL Dogs

Senior Dog Lodge & Animal Rescue (SDL) took in Sophie, Mya, Oliver, and Olivia after it had been confirmed that they were abandoned in Morgan County. Their owner had the gall to move and leave all of them, plus puppies belonging to one of them. Unsurprisingly, some of the dogs had parasitic disease. We sponsored antibiotics and vaccines for these beautiful animals.

HPAN Helps Break Sophie out of Jail

Sophie had been at the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter for nearly nine months. When a shelter volunteer asked Loudon County Friends of Animals if they would cross county lines and help Sophie, they agreed if we could pay the $55 rescue pull fee. We agreed!!

HPAN Contributes $300 to Make Sophie Well Again

This is Sophie! Roane County Paws took her into rescue in October 2016. Sophie was tested heartworm positive, malnourished, suffered with mange, was anemic, and flea and tick ridden. She was not expected to make it, but with much love and amazing care from her foster and Admiral Vet, she has come a long way since the first picture in October and today. Now that she is better, the rescue reached out to us with help on her heartworm treatment.

HPAN Sends $200 for Sophie

Sophie is a little senior gal found running the streets of Oak Ridge. After failed attempts to find her home, she was pulled into rescue by Homeward Bound Dog Rescue. It turned out to be a huge blessing for Sophie because of her medical needs. She needed to be vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. Plus, she needed several teeth pulled, a dental cleaning, tumor removal, and bladder stone treatment. The rescue and Sophie’s foster paid for a large part of this, and they only asked us for $200. In early January, Sophie will ship to HBDR’s headquarters in New York, where she will go into a fabulous foster home while she awaits the perfect forever family.
