His Kingdom rescue recently pulled ten dogs slated for euthanasia from the Roane County Animal Shelter. They asked us to help pay for gas needed for the drive to Ohio and back. We were happy to purchase a gas card for this effort. This same rescue recently pulled a lab puppy from a hoarding situation in Morgan County. Ebony was severely malnourished and needed initial vaccines, dewormer, and prescription food and boarding for several days. HPAN paid for these services, so Ebony could grow up well. She will be sent to a rescue in New York after she gets her second-round vaccines.

Roane County Animal Shelter dog, Dexter, was on the euthanasia list due to a prolapsed rectum when His Kingdom rescue owner/operator pulled him out of the shelter. She immediately took him to a local vet for assessment, and surgery was scheduled the following day. The surgery cost, follow-up boarding, and even second surgery cost the rescue hundreds of dollars. We kicked in $300.
