Little Gumbo is only one in a litter of many living with his mom under a camper in Anderson County. The owner lived in a house next door and moved away, leaving all of them behind. Neighbors called animal control, and they were all picked up and taken to the shelter in Anderson County. Thankfully, a foster stepped up and took them all home so the puppies could be weaned in a clean environment. Little Gumbo came down with an illness and was rushed to the emergency vet. The shelter reached out to us for assistance. We contributed $300 to the large balance. Today, Gumbo is back with his foster and doing much better.
