Chance was a stray form Morgan county who was rescued by Roane County Paws. That day he had to have emergency surgery on his ear. It is unknown what caused the injury, but the vet believed it was due to something tied around his ear. He has recovered well from this, but sadly Chance is heartworm positive. We believe Chance deserves to live, so we sponsored his treatments.
The Friends of Campbell County, Tennessee Animals does a tremendous job pulling animals from their shelter, ensuring they’re vetted, and putting them in foster homes or on transports to no-kill shelters and other rescues. The dollars add up for vet services, medicine, and preventatives. To help FCCA with these costs, and to specifically help two of their special needs dogs, we paid $500 directly to their vet clinic. This funding will help Mason and Chance get well again. Mason has a foot abnormality that is causing him pain, and he needs surgery. Chance was diagnosed with heartworms just prior to her transport, but she is expected to get better with treatment. We at HPAN are happy that our funds will help FCCA take care of these dogs.
