HPAN Assists Shelter Dog with Needed Surgery
Local shelter dog, Frankie, was found running and scared in the middle of a busy street. When he was picked up and taken to the closest shelter, he was malnourished, covered in fleas and ticks, had no collar or chip, and wasn’t neutered. The vet thought he had a small tumor on his back that needed to come out. Because of Frankie’s special needs, HPAN was asked to help. Turns out, the “tumor” was a 22-caliber bullet. Frankie is one lucky little dog who has since been adopted. We’re so glad we could have a part in helping make him well, so he can have the life he deserves.
