HPAN Sponsors Velvet’s Spay

When Velvet came into the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter, she was too far along in her pregnancy to be spayed, so a Friends of Oak Ridge Animal Shelter member took her home to have her babies.  Since then, all of the puppies have been placed in loving homes. Velvet’s turn is next, but first she needed to be spayed.  Enter the Helping Paws Animal Network.  Because Velvet had some extra weight on her underbelly, her spay was a little more complicated and cost a little more than normal. We were happy to get her the best vet care possible and gladly sponsored her surgery for $225.
